Implants in the esthetic zone. Recent developments
Recent developments in implantology have led to changes in implant and abutment design as well as in some surgical protocols. Furthermore, the timing of implant and abutment placement, the material selection and the treatment sequence are of greatest importance complicating the decision-making and affecting the final result in the esthetic zone.
This presentation will focus on the methodology of the implant site development, especially in demanding esthetic cases, on today’s knowledge of the biology of different materials, abutment selection and give some guidelines to achieve optimum esthetic results. Current surgical and prosthetic protocols (one-time intermediate abutments, digital sequencing) with the help of clinical cases will be discussed.

Gummy smile – etiologija i terapija
Gummy smile ili izrazita vidljivost gingive prilikom osmeha i govora je, prema klasifikaciji parodontalnih oboljenja i stanja, mukogingivalna anomalija koja u najvećem broju slučajeva narušava estetiku osmeha. U etiologiji se navode hipermobilna gornja usna, tanka gornja usna, dugačak alveolarni nastavak gornje vilice ili izmenjena pasivna erupcija zuba u gornjoj vilici. Izbor terapijske procedure zavisi od etiologije. U okviru predavanja biće predstavljen detaljan dijagnostički postupak i smernice za odabir adekvatnog terapijskog pristupa u cilju eliminacije izrazite vidljivosti gingive, kao i hirurška procedura produženja kliničkih kruna.

Bonding indirect restorations meets simplicity
Different restorative materials mean different cementation needs. Dentists are often facing difficulties when they want to place a tooth-colored ceramic restoration. Due to distinctions in the mechanical properties and chemical composition, requirements regarding substrate pretreatment and cement type vary widely. However, the situation is not as complex as it might seem at first, provided that some basic principles are respected. The goal is to select a limited number of products, which cover all possible indications. In conjunction with a standardization of procedures, this measure helps reduce the risk of possible errors in the process.

When should we do direct restorations, when partial indirect and when full coverage? Let’s use common sense.
The rehabilitation of the patient with worn dentition should not and cannot be always the same. There is not a recipe that fits all cases because not every wear case is the same and the materials are not indicated for every situation or thickness. We have to understand the etiology of wear and the patient’s risk factors, the remaining tooth structure, the available materials and our treatment goals. With all these and using our common sense we will reach a logical treatment option.

Dentalni turizam kao jedna od najznačajnih grana medicinskog turizma je stvario tranziciju na globalnom tržištu.
